Is the political situation of a country a factor when you travel? As it stands, this question seems a bit broad and lacking a "right" answer, as we require here. Is it possible to obtain a work permit for a teaching role in the UK without a teaching degree? One thing to be aware of is that immigration is a bit political in the UK at the moment, and cracking down on un-skilled / low skill immigration from outside the EU seems to be the government's preferred way to "look tough" whilst being legal. Expect things to be tougher than they used to be... |

What is the minimum time to consider with a connecting flight in the USA? The BA terminal at JFK (9) didn't have this when I flew in very recently, so it's certainly not everywhere there. Good job I'd allowed 3 hours to connect, as it took 1.5 hours to get through immigration and customs! |

Collecting French (SNCF) “Ticket On Departure” tickets from outside of France? One might hope that the ticket machine of one RailTeam member (eg Eurostar, Thalys) would let you pick up tickets for another (eg SNCF TGV), but the answers so far seem to indicate they've taken this away rather than adding it... |
