comment Anybody know of any secret sources to get from YYZ to CDG for July for under $700?
Does it have to be Paris? The more flexible you are (eg something in Western Europe with cheap onward flights), the more hope you have!

comment Kings Cross Station to Heathrow
Oh, and at some times of the day, a taxi can be quite a bit slower than train or tube, but lunchtime like the OP has it should be quicker

How much luggage? One suitcase each? 3 each? And how mobile/active are you?

There's also the walk from the station / underground station to T2 to consider, both of which are at least 5 minutes, perhaps closer to 10!

There's a good presentation on air fare pricing complexity available on the ITA Matrix website, does that cover you?

comment Qantas MEL-SYD-SCL: is the first leg international or domestic
Who are you flying with? And what does your itinerary say about the terminals being used? (There are a handful of unusual flights in Australia which are domestic legs but using international terminals)

Note that there are a handful of flights within Australia which leave from International terminals, eg CX from Brisbane to Cairns

comment DXB (Dubai International Airport) Shuttle between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
The Dubai Airport website Flight Connections page suggests that you need to head to Desk E on the lower level of T1 to get the bus over to T2. T1 is connected to T3, a short to medium distance away depending on gates. Perhaps someone heading through Dubai soon can wander down to the lower level and confirm?

@erik Based on what I've read on Flyertalk. If you look through this thread you'll see lots of UM info in amongst other stuff, look for posts like this one

comment Train passport control from London to Paris
@GayotFow They're not UKBA-run exit checks though, but transport-provider run ones, and they're not quite comprehensive. That's why I didn't call them formal ones, as unlike Schengen or Australia it isn't an immigration offer checking you out

comment Which airline offer flying for unaccompanied children (below 12 years)?
Generally must full-service airlines will offer it, but often only on point-to-point flights. It's a much smaller number that'll accept unaccompanied minors on a flight with a connection
