comment Is one hour between connecting flights at Heathrow Terminal 5 enough?
Running is certainly allowed in T5, but in many places isn't possible due to the volume of people...

comment How to buy a ticket from France to the United States if the person flying won't have any proof of payment?
When I book tickets on the BA website, it always asks me something like "is the person making the payment one of the travellers". Saying no presumably does some extra fraud checks at the time, but then no payment card is requested at checkin

@JoErNanO While most are, those within the EU are capped and are generally pretty reasonable

@AndrewLazarus If it was just that, they'd exclude the UK too!

comment Ireland and Scotland Car Hire
From a quick google, the Hertz UK site says that there's a fee for taking a UK car to Ireland or Continental Europe. I'd assume it's much the same for a Hertz Ireland rental taking the car to the UK - possible but for an extra fee

comment Ireland and Scotland Car Hire
@Louis IIRC lots of US credit card insurance excludes Ireland not because the hire car places are sketchy (they're fine), but because large numbers of their American customers can't safely drive on the tiny roads in Ireland and consequently have large numbers of expensive claims...

comment Are body scanners mandatory at Charles de Gaulle airport?
@MichaelHampton You can opt out of the nude-o-scopes in the UK too, but they deliberately make it take an age and do a whole bunch of extra checks. Here's the story of what is involved from someone on FlyerTalk who flies through LHR a very large amount

comment Brussels Air: LAX to IAD to NAP Is 1.5h at IAD sufficient given change of planes, but both United?
@chx Subscription services like ExpertFlier let you look it up. I'm not aware of any free sites that give the full details, see this comment for more

comment Brussels Air: LAX to IAD to NAP Is 1.5h at IAD sufficient given change of planes, but both United?
It's only plenty if you waiting for the next flight after a delay + missed connection isn't a big deal for you. If missing the connecting flight means missing a major business meeting / cruise / wedding / etc, then given United's current performance it probably isn't enough to be safe

comment Do border officials check if someone has any warrants when traveling abroad?
Why would customs be checking that? Immigration or Consular Staff issuing Visas I could see maybe doing that, but why do you think Customs would be doing it? (Other than perhaps checking for smuggling type things?)

comment Do flight attendants prefer I press the button or walk to the back? (Long-haul flights)
Alas I don't think there's a universal answer. Just as an anecdote, Qatar cabin crew have on a few occasions told me to press the call button rather than walking up the galley, while I've had BA cabin crew say often "as you can get out, next time just pop and see us in the galley and we'll sort your next drink out quicker". Really seems to depend on the airline and crew

comment Is it common practice to allow frequent flyer account access with easily available personal details?
@raxacoricofallapatorius You could try asking John from LoyaltyLobby about it - he covered many of the loyalty program breaches last year and the year before, and has contacts to report issues for many programs

comment Is it common practice to allow frequent flyer account access with easily available personal details?
I know of quite a few hotel and airline loyalty programs which have suffered breaches / widespread hacks / etc in the last few years, most of which have now beefed up their security. Maybe you're dealing with one of the ones which hasn't yet?

comment Why drivers deny service while paying using Ola Money?
Maybe OLA takes a bigger cut if the payment is through their system rather than cash?

comment Roma pass vs. Colosseum/Forum tickets?
The official tour guides can get you queue-jump tickets, explain a lot, take you to most of the places you want to see, and aren't very much more than just booking tickets alone for the group tours. You might want to consider that
