comment Best website for checking pnr status for Indian Railway
Who are CRIS? Something to do with the Indian Railways? Or a random private company?

comment is it wrong to have different passports of the same country with same photo but different names?
In the UK, it's also possible to get two passports if you travel a lot and frequently need to leave one passport with an embassy getting a visa while going elsewhere. The two passports will, however, agree on all your details! Differing only in passport number and expiry dates

comment Who is responsible for a passenger being cancelled from a flight because an international partner airline never confirmed with the domestic airline?
Frankly I'd blame whoever you paid the money to first, it's their job to sort out ticketing

comment Using a London travel-card for a Reading-Oxford-London-Reading trip
Another option is to buy a Reading to Oxford single, and an Oxford to London Travelcard. It will require two tickets whatever you do

comment Business class cheap
Use air miles? Take a complicated multi-stop route? Business class non-stop international flights are popular, which is why they're expensive...

comment Check-Through with AirChina
All on one ticket, or did you book two different tickets one for each leg? Also, how long is the layover?

comment Using a London travel-card for a Reading-Oxford-London-Reading trip
Wouldn't you be better to buy a Reading to Oxford return, and a Reading to London Travelcard? That way you don't use anything out of order

comment Am I entitled to overnight accommodations by Qatar Airways on a long layover?
Was there a shorter connection available to you that you chose not to book? IIRC Qatar only offers accommodation on long layovers if there's no way to do it shorter. If there was a shorter but more expensive option that you didn't book (even if it was full), no accommodation is offered

comment Skip leg and book a connection with the same airline
Your travel agent might get an expensive ADM, and you might loose all your frequent flier points for the trip, or possibly have your frequent flier account cancelled. Unlikely to happen on a "first-offence" of dropping the last sector, but airlines are currently clamping down on it, especially on cheap X-LHR-Europe tickets. See this long FlyerTalk thread for details

comment Do airlines check if people passing through the gate actually board the plane?
Normally cabin crew count the number of passengers on board, and reconcile that with the passenger manifest. If the numbers don't match, they work out who's missing, get very grumpy and offload bags. I've seen it happen a few times, normally for people who feel unwell and self-offload

comment Why flight itinerary can't be changed using internet?
I've changed bookings online before without any issue, I think it might be a Travel Agent and/or Airline issue rather than some general global problem

comment Revoked visa and given a 5 year ban
What was the reason for the revocation at the border? That sounds pretty unusual, so whatever that was may well affect the UK. Without knowing why, it's hard to say though

comment Can I get a Tallinja card on arrival at Malta airport?
@drat Ended up booking a very cheap direct transfer via the hotel, so we didn't need to get one from the airport in the end, and the transfer was waiting for us so we didn't have time to go investigate buying one all the same

comment How much time to allow for a “transfer” at Stansted on separate tickets
If you need to be safe, it's either "overnight" or "however long your travel insurance says you need before it will cover you"!

The US doesn't do airside transit, so you must clear US immigration and customs even on international-international connections.

comment Is 55 minutes enough transfer time at Schiphol
If you miss the connection, and KLM look after you until the next available flight, how much of a problem is that for you?
