comment Can I check into a European hotel without my passport?
Depends entirely on the country and their rules, so I fear this question is too broad. Pick one country of interest and ask for that

comment SIM card for travelling to Europe from India
You should be able to look up the prices for most common European PAYG sim cards online. What happens when you compare them to your Indian option?

comment Traveling to the U.S for 7 days in March with ESTA visa and making another trip to the U.S in June. Can I be denied entry?
@CMaster An ESTA is a huge way different from a visa. An ESTA gives you the permission to approach the USA by Air or Water. Most ESTA holders will then request entry under the US Visa Waiver Program, and then admitted under that. The ESTA has nothing to do with whether or not you're allowed into the USA, nor any rules governing that, those are all the Visa Waiver Program (or Visa). The ESTA is only about being able to travel to the US border

ESTA != visa - would he be entering under the Visa Waiver Program?

comment Would a non-business traveler ever benefit from collecting air miles, as compared to simply buying the cheapest ticket available?
With BA on short-haul flights, taxes and fees are capped at £17.50 each way. With many other airlines they aren't, which makes a big difference on how valuable they are. There are at least some airlines where the taxes and fees on a redemption ticket are the same as the cost of a cash ticket...

I frequently take leisure flights with BA, booked with my own money. When I factor in the costs of getting to the LCC airports vs Heathrow, the costs of getting from far-off airports to the city, the faff of dealing with somewhere like Luton, the cost difference vanishes. Then BA gives Avios (+tier points), so I often book flights with them with my own hard-earnt cash!

With British Airways, you can get a one-way flight from the UK to near bits of Europe for 4000 avios and a maximum of £17.50 in taxes and fees. A cheap flight to the states earns more than that. I'd say that's worth collecting for, personally!

comment Reserve hotel from Paris airport
Note that 2pm / 4pm / 6pm cancellations are getting a lot rarer these days. Increasingly you need to cancel the day before to avoid a penalty even on most flexible rates, which won't work for the OP, so they'll need to take great care when booking to ensure they get free same-day cancellation if doing that!

comment Reserve hotel from Barcelona airport?
Sounds like you will have been staying in Barcelona already? If so, keep a note of the phone number of the place you've been staying at. Give them a ring, explain you've missed your flight and want to come back. They'll either book you back in if they can, or since you're a past guest, they'll likely help find you something else if they're full

comment UK Visit Visas Refused Due to Evaluation Oversights and Similar Errors
This isn't correct - if the embassy has made a mistake you can appeal it, and we have a couple of question on that, eg this one. If you as the applicant make a mistake, which it seems you did this time due to not fully reading the guidance, then no appeal is possible

comment is it wrong to have different passports of the same country with same photo but different names?
In the UK, it's also possible to get two passports if you travel a lot and frequently need to leave one passport with an embassy getting a visa while going elsewhere. The two passports will, however, agree on all your details! Differing only in passport number and expiry dates
