comment Why must you be over 18 to use an ePassport gate?
There's currently a trial at some airports for children 12+ to be able to use the e-passport gates, so not sure the above can be true given that

comment Why must you be over 18 to use an ePassport gate?
There's currently a 6-month trial of allowing children aged 12+ to use the e-passport gates at some airports, eg London Heathrow Terminal 5. The Daily Mail hates this so it may not get rolled out after the trial, despite reducing queues :/

comment Prepaid phone for use in Canada
Do you really need a whole new phone? Are you sure you wouldn't just be better getting a Canadian pay-as-you-go sim (for which we have existing questions) and popping that into an existing phone?

comment Train Route from CDG to Calais
Minor nit - the effective public transport link between the two Lille stations is the Lille Metro. The Lille Europe tram stop is actually a short walk from the station, and the trams aren't nearly as frequent as the metro! That said, unless it's raining, it's normally quicker and easier to just walk...

comment Is it still necessary to pre-request a vegetarian meal on intercontinental flights?
What's your backup plan if, when the crew reach you, all they've got left is the chicken or the beef? (i.e. the handful of non-special veggie meals were taken by previous passengers)

comment Are flight attendants really happy?
Depends who you're flying with - at least some US cabin crew (as an example recently mocked by the Emirates / Jennifer Aniston advert) aren't smiling as they aren't happy....

comment UK Rail Replacement Bus delay - can you still claim Delay Repay?
@jacoman891 While the exact timings of a TOC's Delay Repay are specific to them, I believe that the overall scheme of Delay Repay is common across most companies. The question isn't "is this 35 minute delay on TOC X enough for their Delay Repay", it's "does a rail replacement bus trigger Delay Repay"

comment I was banned for drunk driving 4 years ago in the UK. Will this affect my Russian visa application?
@EugeneO The US may not consider those things criminal, but many other places do! eg US citizens with DUIs have big issues going to Canada, but not the other way around
