possible duplicate of Is there a way to find out if I need a transit visa for a layover in the UK?

comment What is the cheapest way to get from Nice to Paris without going trough italy
For most people, "best" is a flight of a TGV (train), booked in advance! Cheapest is walking or hitch-hiking. BlaBlaCar might be an option, but your question is rather unclear

comment Staying in Cannes and want to get in Paris
From Cannes to Paris, the quick ways are TGV Train or flight from Nice airport. Are you sure you want to take the slow route on the bus, which might not be that much cheaper?

comment Does the FL1 train now go directly to Termini in Rome?
A couple of months ago when I used it, FL1 didn't and you had to change, or you could take the more expensive Leonardo Express direct to Termini

comment Should my first trip be to the country which issued my Schengen Visa?
On a slightly different example, assume you'd just flown into CDG from outside Schengen, wanting to go to Barcelona. Whether taking the train or flying, in both cases you'll need to clear Schengen entry formalities in Paris. You could well be right on what the French officers will do if you turn up with a Spanish visa in that situation, but it does seem a little strange to me that a CDG-BCN flight is OK, Paris-Barcelona TGV ticket + idea of getting the RER to catch that isn't. May be strange but true though!

Does it have to be a connecting flight? Or would any plausible onward transport do it? (eg flying into Barcelona, Schengen visa from France, TGV ticket to Montpellier?)

comment planning to hire chartered flight(200 seat)
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because we're not a plane chartering service

comment Shower at Heathrow during Layover in Terminal 5
@Calchas Any showers? I'm not heading through T5 until Friday, so won't be able to update my answer until then, unless someone can supply the details for me!

comment Shower at Heathrow during Layover in Terminal 5
There's a new paid-for lounge in T5 which opens monday. That may give an option, we'll have to wait a few days to find out about showers there, but that might do you too!

comment How do I find out how long a UK train should be, in advance online?
@GayotFow Nate has given a PDF for trains on the routes I want to know about, proving the information exists, but not for the trains I want to know about, so my desire for an answer remains. Ideally I'd really like to know how to discover it for the general case!

comment How do I find out how long a UK train should be, in advance online?
@GayotFow Nate has posted a link to PDFs showing the normal carriage counts for the morning peak for that line, so for at least some services it's known in advance. Display boards at paddington seem to show carriage counts for at least the next half hour, which would be pretty much enough for my purposes too

Sadly that only considers "traditional" commuters which seem typical for Great Northern. I'm interested in the counter-peak services, eg evening from Hitchin to London, which are often have large numbers standing when scheduled as only 4 coaches. That kind of table for the whole day would be the sort of thing I'm after!

You get the odd change due to problems, but on the whole certain trains are always 4 coaches, certain ones always 12. Plus, I only really want to know about ones in the next 2 hours, which the station boards know about!

comment How early should I arrive to Heathrow before departure?
Quite a few! Based on this BA news post, routes switching over shortly include Accra, Cape Town, Denver, Las Vegas, Miami, Nairobi, Phoenix and Vancouver

Nope, BA have a whole bunch of long haul flights from T3. BA also operate a 45-minute cut-off in T3, as detailed in an expanding section here, so your blanket statement of 60-70 minutes remains incorrect
