I'm a Post-Doctoral Fellow in atmospheric remote sensing at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I first came to Stack Exchange for practical reasons: Tex.SE has been of major help when I wrote my licentiate (midterm) thesis. Since then, I have discovered the joy of many websites. As my network profile will show, I'm interested in travel, outdoor, scientific skepticism, and as I work in academia, also in academia and LaTeX.

comment How can I search specifically for cottages/cabins with kitchen(ettes)?
@Flimzy Most of the ones I've looked at in Big Sur make no mention of kitchen(ette)s but do advertise "breakfast included" and fine dining. For example, Lucia lodge has "10 updated cabins" with no kitchen facilities to be seen on any photo (but I've asked to be sure). For Riverside campground cabins, some cabins are advertised to have a kitchenette, implying the rest (that are cheaper) do not. Big Sur Camp also has cabins both with and without.

NOTE: I've significantly altered the question. Earlier I asked "why don't they". Now I ask "Do they? If not, why not?".

CHANGED QUESTION: included "do they?" rather than "why don't they?".

Accommodation also needs to be paid for, though.

@MeNoTalk The Embraer ERJ-135 that was cancelled in my case has 37 seats. It seems small airplanes are common on short-haul flights. For comparison, some double-decker buses have 84 seats. Theoretically, airlines might bother to have more satisfied customers (5 hour delay vs. 36 hour delay).

How about criminals adding smuggling goods into your bag at one end of the border, and taking it out at the other end?

Pass Umbrail is very close, but I would go for the Pass Dal Fuorn (Ofenpass).
