How best to prevent data loss while travelling? Agreed 100%. It is not feisable to rely on local internet cafés or wifi. People seem to be hung up on "Will there be a FTP Client?" when the real problem is that the whole town is on dialup. Uploading is not possible. |

How can I find multicountry sims Sounds like something of limited benefit. Having roaming and/or 2 different sim cards would solve just about all your travel needs? |

Is there any United States slang I should avoid in the UK or Ireland? Yes all "cider" in the UK & Ireland is as alcoholic as beer. I always thought it strange to see Ned Flanders enthusiastically talking about cider on the Simpsons. |

Is there any United States slang I should avoid in the UK or Ireland? The US "Jelly" = UK "Jam" thing took me ages. I wonder what monstrosity a (US) "peanut butter and jelly sandwich" was until I realised it was uk "jam", not uk "jelly" |

Is there any United States slang I should avoid in the UK or Ireland? Imagine if there was a drink called "Twin Towers" (there isn't AFAIK). Should you ask for that in New York? That's like asking for an "Irish Car Bomb" here (the police in Ireland find about 20 bombs per year in Ireland) |

Non-EU spouse of an EU citizen - is visiting EU without needing a visa possible? I (as an Irish citizen) have also gotten free visas when entering some African countries (e.g. Zambia, Tanzania) |

Where can I go with an Irish visa but without a Schengen visa? There is no border controls at the Ireland/Northern Ireland border. The main way you know you've crossed over is the speed limit signs change mph ↔ kmph. |
