comment Pick-up Soccer in Dublin
I don't play football much, but you could try going down to a football pitch and asking people currently playing if you can join in? People are often willing to meet new people

comment How long does it take for Google Maps to include a newly opened highway in its driving directions?
If you want to see up to date maps, you could try openstreetmap, a wiki base map.

comment Is there an EU law that a hotel can't kick you out if you're sick?
Yes, OK, this is a pedantic argument. So when I ask "Is there an EU law…" I'm really asking "Is there an EU Regulation or Directive…"

Yes there are no "EU laws" per se, but an EU directive is de facto (eventually) a law, and is commonly called "EU Law"

comment Is it possible to draw out USD from an ATM in Zambia?
Zimbabwe has de facto changed to USD though, so it's a special case.

comment Are there any inhabited condominiums (joint sovereignties) apart from Brčko District?
I recently traveled around Bosnia, and one would often pass between RS and FBH. They aren't really different countries per se.

comment Is there any United States slang I should avoid in the UK or Ireland?
The USA seems to have a steryotype of "British Bad Teeth", but I don't think that's a stereyotype that the British are aware of it, so you might get confused looks if you joke about it. Some countries are aware of the steryotypes of themselves (e.g. Irish & drinking), and might understand if you are making a joke, but the "British Bad Teeth" seems to be a USA idea. Joking about food as a USAian would be odd, since the USA isn't exactly known for it's culinary excellence (compared to say, France)
