comment Cheap Solutions: How to travel from Rio de Janeiro/Sao Paulo to Colombia/Ecuador?
Your cheapest bet (outside hitchhiking) is probably the longest bus ride in the world: travel.stackexchange.com/questions/56357/…

Your best bet is the most boring answer: Fly from Sao Paulo. But, November 10 is very soon.

Ironically, in my experience, Cape Town is a much more racially segregated city than Johannesburg.

comment What meals are available on Russian trains?
Perhaps. I can be quite thirsty. Either way, I'm happy to change the name. Yet, try a google image search for 'titan train russia' and 'samovar train russia' as well.

@shaptooth: perhaps. Yet I'm quite sure the colloquial term for the hot water dispenser in a Russian train is still samovar. To mention one source in agreement with this: seat61.com/Russia-trains.htm#.ViEr2bxHP8s

I think @sharptooth is thinking of more traditional, perhaps handcrafted, samovars.

I think this is close to the Preah Vihaer temple, which has seen bloody conflict recently, between Cambodia and Thailand.

Can you explain how you define 'best animal viewing'? Most? Most diverse? Or perhaps easy access to the parks is a criterion? Or perhaps cost?

comment Throat singing lessons in Mongolia
@GayotFow Meh. That's very tongue in cheek. One can learn rocket science, relativity and basketball without an instructor, too, indeed. But, reading is important, yes. There's nowhere in my comment where I state that a teacher is required... (But, why did you think OP mentioned Mongolia if no instructors are required?)

comment Throat singing lessons in Mongolia
Nice question. In case this doesn't make it to being reopened: Yes, why not, but I think you'll have a hard time finding an English speaking throat singer able to teach you the technique. (I lived in Mongolia and met what, at the time, was probably the internationally most widely traveled Mongolian throat singing... ehm... band. None of them spoke a word of English :)
