comment From what point could you view the most countries?
Yeah, I did think about that. But isn't the claim on northern Kashmir a bit tenuous?

comment Ways to travel from Mexico to South America over land
It is in practice not possible to do this journey over land; you'll have to cross from Panama to Colombia by sea.

I had seen the Barranquilla entry on wikitravel, but overlooked the airport reference under the bus section. Thanks.

comment One-way versus return airfare tickets
It means they have the obligation to facilitate your journey. They might not wait, but they'll take the responsibility of putting you on another flight, if this is required due to delays on their end. But, only if all tickets were bought as one journey. If it's multiple individual journeys, it will be harder to get them to take responsibility.

I don't think Lvov is suffering from the Ukraine crisis, but, either way, these were just examples. St. Petersburg, Belgrade, London, Tbilisi, Yerevan. So much choice!

Your question, though now edited, is still very general. If your only concern is Schengen rules, add a few destinations that are not Schengen. Why not Rabat or Casablanca? Why not Lvov or Istanbul?

I don't understand the context of your remark 'Shenzhen makes that harder'.

comment Is travelling through all central Asian countries (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan) possible only with transit visas?
According to the Uzbek embassy, a transit visa still requires the letters of invitation: uzbekistan.be/visa%20regulations.html

comment Traveling to Brazil on different passports
Typically, when it's the airline's responsibility to fly you back if you're found to not have valid papers on arrival, the airline will check your credentials.
