I hope to travel to Iceland as soon as I work out the logistics.
Everyone who answers one of my questions gets an up vote...eventually. I will not down vote an answer on one of my questions, even if I think you are wrong. I thank everyone who has freely given me some of their time to answer my various questions.

Tasting typical Icelandic cuisine in Reykjavík It's all about the mutton. And fish, but fish is a relatively new part of Icelandic cuisine. And horse. Those are the traditional things, but now there is pretty much all styles available in town, it's gotten pretty cosmipoliatn. |

Is there a boat that will take tourists to Iceland from North America? Because it would be cool to re-do Bjarni Herjólfsson's and Eric the Red's trips. And depending on the boat, travel by boat can be more pleasant than flying. |

Can we get by as English speakers visiting Iceland? Interesting! I learn something everyday. I just looked it up. It works anywhere if you have a GSM phone. If you are using a land line, or non GSM phone in, say, the US, you'd have to dial 911. |
