Is it safe to travel in Greece during the riots about government spending cuts? @Stuart That's absurd. The idea that Greek Euro notes could suddenly become worth nothing is completely wrong. |

Is it safe to travel in Greece during the riots about government spending cuts? Some friends of mine were in Athens last week, just for a day before flying home. They are still there as their passports were stolen from their parked car while visiting the Acropolis. Just a word of warning. |

What should we consider when buying a gift for a host family in Turkey? @Ankur I disagree with this closure, it clearly doesn't come under the scope outlined in that blog post. This is not a shopping recommendation for a specific product, but a recommendation for a type or class of gift. The information is relevant now, and will continue to be more than a year in the future. |

What should we consider when buying a gift for a host family in Turkey? For a long stay that might be appropriate, although most of the time I don't know in advance who I'm staying with! |

Are there any standard clothing restrictions when visiting mosques? Why would it not be? I'm unlikely to be visiting unfamiliar places of worship unless I'm travelling, and appropriate clothing is something a traveler will need to keep in mind. |
