comment How can I renew my Italian passport abroad?
Aside from the renewal, watch out for common visa/entry regulations that require a passport with no less than x (usually 6) months validity remaining.

comment How to find accomodation when your reserved accomodation appears to be overbooked or worse non existent?
Why not just ask "how to find accommodation on the spot without a booking"? I don't see how the story of a failed booking is relevant to potential answers. The question seems a too general.

comment Getting from Bosnia to Kosovo
From what I know, the problem is entering Kosovo first, and then going to Serbia from there (Serbian authorities regard that as illegal entry). There should be no problem the other way around -- entering Serbia first and then going to Kosovo (and back to Serbia if necessary, as long as you didn't go out to other countries).

comment What visas do I need for traveling to South East Asia if I'm a Canadian Citizen?
The 90/180 day limit was scrapped a few years back (due to being too difficult to enforce). Instead, they only give a 15 day stamp when arriving by ground crossing (without a visa).

comment Can you receive an Australian passport stamp if you ask?
It's worth mentioning that while visas used to be stamps, most countries switched to visa stickers over a decade ago (more difficult to counterfeit).

comment How can I transfer money to Thailand?
@Zombies ACH is US only. However... there is one Bangkok Bank branch in NYC, so if you have an account there, you could probably do an ACH and then their internal transfer to Thailand. Seems complicated to set up, I haven't actually tried it (and don't know how expensive/lengthy it is).

comment Are there hotels where children are not allowed?
@Andrew Despite the name, "love hotels" are not only used for sex, there are many other under-24h-stay uses.

comment What to do if drugs / a bomb are planted in your travel bag?
@Kate While getting assaulted by the bad guys waiting to receive their package is a possibility, that's a secondary concern, and should be handled by getting the next flight out... to anywhere. Police just won't help you in some countries, they care to either extort money or do an easy arrest to boost statistics... even if the police/judicial system makes is fair, convincing people of your innocence would be a long and difficult task with uncertain outcome.

comment When does the 24 hour layover rule apply?
All depends on the specific airline policy. Even if you stay under the 24h limit, the airline can price various flights differently, so there's no guarantee of a lower price. On the other hand, some airlines have free stopovers (e.g. Turkish allows up to a week in Istanbul). Booking stopovers online can be tricky, contacting the airline (or using an old-fashioned travel agent) is usually the best way.
