Is Florida ocean water warm enough to swim in February? Update: I swam at Dry Tortugas national park - 70 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico, and the water temperature was in the low 70s. It was "cold" but not freezing cold. In the end, I only stayed in about half an hour or so, preferring walking around the moat and looking at the fish and coral from above the water over against the murkiness in the water... |

European traveler driving a rental car across Canada/US border and back FYI most rental car companies in the US will have some form of prohibition on taking the car out of the US- at least by default. I know, for example, that if you rent a car in Michigan, Hertz will make you sign something saying you can't go into Canada, and in Texas and Arizina, I have had to sign saying "No Mexico". I didn't ask if there was a way around that, however, so comment, not answer. |
