After half-life programming computers in C/C++ and assembly, in 2009 I changed radically and started a new life as LAMP programmer. Now I'm in love with web programming.

comment Inexpensive eating-out food in western Europe
Kebabs are common now in Spain ;) But if the op cannot find kebabs, chinesse restaurants normally have a really big meal from 5 euros (very good value for money!)

comment What to do in Barcelona?
Even if you don't like football you have to go to the Camp Nou. You can visit the stadium free. All you have to do is go a day that there is a match: 10 minutes before match end, the doors are open and nobody ask you for an entrance. You can view last 5-10 minuts of the match, and when the players go out, you can even touch the green field.

comment What is the cheapest hostel in the world?
Well, I'm asking about younth hostels only, it is, a place where travellers can spend a night in a bed for some money. I don't consider places that offers accomodation for free because these places are not tourism-oriented or require a friendship relationship (not just an economic transaction).

comment Can I drive in Spain using my U.S. (New York State) license?
Sorry, but I don't agree. This is an image of yesterday: facebook.com/… Police or Guardia Civil in Spain are very agressive people, they come from a dictatorship without any filtering. I repeat: don't make them easy to stop or arrest you. Anyway, you are right: EU licenses are valid in Spain, it's up to you to make it easy or not.
