comment How to find and compare flights carried out by a specific type of plane?
Interesting question, but it is not uncommon for carriers to change airplane type last minute. So if such a search engine exist, I don't expect it to be watertight. The two times I was booked on a 777 flight, I flew on a 747.

Unless @relaxed confirms a less strict translation of "tous"

@menotalk I should have taken a picture of the billboard in Paris. It clearly said "all" lebara countries.

comment Difference in mineral bottled water price between European countries
@joernano buying bottles of water in different countries is something quite typical for travelers alike

comment What is the cheapest and fastest way of traveling between Liege and Paris with deterministic travelling times?
@PERSONANONGRATA Indeed you need to switch trains in Kortrijk, as stipulated above.

comment What is the cheapest and fastest way of traveling between Liege and Paris with deterministic travelling times?
@PERSONANONGRATA There are indeed tgv trains leaving gare de Lille-Europe. However if you are not a frequent traveler on that route, I would advise to stick to Lille Flandres as departure point. There are quite TGV trains that leave from Lille Flandres and the SNCB trains from Liege/Kortrijk arrives in Lille Flandres. Having said that, the walk from Europe to Flandres is quite a comfortable walk

comment Having a Skype (video/voice) in public in Paris
@GayotFow Actually, I rather not have a free alternative, since usually the quality of connections is questionable with free options. I would say 10-15 eur/hour would be acceptable

comment Is there a listing for direct red-eye flights from the west-coast to the east-coast in the US?
@choster rome2rio, klm, airfrance, lufthansa. But I actually search for a multi destination trip. That is flying to the west coast, back the east coast and then back home. Apparently that is not the way to go. Unfortunatly, searching delta doesn't allow to include airrail. I simply wanted to much and I should consider the trips on individual accounts

Great! Strangely the delta flights didn't show in the sky team affiliate I used to search.

@gagravarr Nothing, other that they didn't show in the search engines I used.

comment How happily will taxis cross the triple-point borders around Basel?
@Andrew It doesn't answer your question, but Basel has some decent bed and breakfasts through booking.com and airbnb

@JoErNanO Switzerland is part of Schengen, so I am surprised they still have manned border stations

comment Why would I choose full service carrier instead of a low-cost one?
It really depends on the Origin and Destination. Brussels-Basel for example paying >1000 Euro is "normal". It boils down to demand. Having said that, securing a cheaper-then-LCC on legacy carriers happens often as well.

comment Long (3-hour) layover in Paris CDG connecting with a TGV train, where should I wait?
KLM, which has similar arrangements with connections to Belgium, allows to board earlier trains. SInce the are in the same company this might be the case with Air France as well. Simply ask if you can board an earlier train.

comment Is there such a thing as a European sim card?
When comparing sim packages, beware on how they compute you usage. Some charge your actual usage others round to Mb every time you connect, where most connectipns remain in the kb zone. My mobile Viking sim often is the cheapest in the long run, compared to local Sims, who publish cheaper fees but charge per Mb

comment Getting from Berlin Tegel Airport to downtown
@ectomorph If you take exact matches, yes taxi's are expensive. But compared to the time spent on commuting, the story changes. As said with 4 fellow passengers I paid 4 euro and got to the airport within 30 minutes. Personally I would consider paying only 1.3Euro extra to get to the airport worth the investment

comment Is there a Waze-like app to keep track of each other among travel companions?
I tested it today extensively. Was a bit disappointed that the app uses driving a car as the main mode of transportation. Actually, then waze is doing a far better job. However, the people behind Glympse are quite responsive on feature requests. I asked for the feature to use Glympse outside the car, ie. walking, public transport etc. So the app remains on my phone
