@pnuts is this your opinion, or do you have some background in car rental and you know for a fact this question isn't answerable?

Also except for rentals at airport, I have never found a rental company that is willing to give really full coverage insurance.

Or find a credit card that covers your rental insurance. They exist (UK/US), unfortunately not in the country I live in.

comment How do custom officers determine if the imported goods of a passenger are old or newly bought?
@AleksG I guess when you pay duty, you get a receipt for it. So bring the receipt with you

comment Re-applying a refused visa application
You can always try. Maybe try another country since Belgium has by far the highest refusal rates in Schengen: ec.europa.eu/dgs/home-affairs/what-we-do/policies/…

comment What neighborhoods in Paris are the least commercialized?
@pnuts but that is hard to answer. Then all neighbourhoods apply, even the surrounding areas (banlieu) apply.

comment How to do online payment in Ireland with french credit card?
@JouniSirén that might be in theory, the explanation I got from my bank is that it is primarily because of fraud protection

comment How to do online payment in Ireland with french credit card?
@JouniSirén It makes sense that you can buy services and physical products online, because you prob. had a delivery address. I am pretty sure that an IP case solely based on foreign credit card payments would not hold in court, especially where there is a single market (Ireland/France). IP rights are typically dealt with on the network address level and not on the credit card level.

Maybe you can also buy a prepaid Irish credit card for these purposes, but be cautious for the fees with prepaid credit cards.

comment Is there a car-rental scheme that works worldwide?
@gagravarr I would love to, but I have been searching for quite a while and it seems that those insurances are more common in us/uk then where I live.

comment Netherlands: where to find public water tap?
I need to disagree with @DavidMulder "paalkamperen" is allowed for "tourists" as well. The website is indeed dutch only, but so are many Dutch websites. Although most, if not all Dutch understand English well, many websites are still notoriously bad in providing information in English. This doesn't mean non-Dutch speakers are not welcome

@menotalk this system already exist on certain flight in the amazon rain forest. I really like this system, since it also provide people with an incentive to loose weight. The only person who are "discriminated" are long people. With 1.90m in length I am such a person, but I don't mind paying a bit extra, because my length also brings the benefit the FAs ofter ask me to sit at the emergency exit, which comes with extra leg space.

@emmalgale You could also turn the argument is it fair for small people to pay for overweight passengers? I don't think so. It is more fair for everybody being entitled to bring a fixed amount of weight, both personal weight and luggage. If you are small you can bring much more luggage then those who weigh a bit more. I have seen the most fair system in south america where everybody was entitled for 100 kg.

comment Travelling from Brussels to London without a passport
That is exactly my point. The Belgian ID card for Belgian citizens looks identical to the residence permit (E+ card). So the answer boils down too, are you a belgian citizen, then yes you can travel otherwise it is not an option
