Backpacking since Christmas Day, 1989. Hitchhiking since mid 2010.

For the first time I managed to save enough travel funds in less than six months in Australia.

I've been hitchhiking around Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, and now Cambodia, and will continue hitchhiking around Asia for the next nine or ten months.

comment Are the hoses in toilets in Asia something I should know about?
I have since learned that one expat slang term for these things is "bum gun"! Google, feel free to index that (-;

comment Does Nepal have open borders with India?
You've left out a possibility. I regard a border as being open whether I need a visa or not and as being closed if I can't cross it even if I have a valid visa. For example the Laos/Burma border is closed to non-Lao non-Burmese nationals even if they have a valid visa.
