comment Am I allowed to own a foreign flag?
wow. Growing up in the UK I find it astonishing that these rules exist and people are concerned about flags. I can't even remember how many I have damaged, torn, converted into clothes, painted, burned, slid down mountains on etc (but all of them were European or commonwealth flags, so no worries about strange rules there)

comment Is it possible to manage without cash, but with credit cards only when visiting San Francisco?
With the exception of Ireland, I never travel with currency. My cards work everywhere I have ever been and cash just annoys me. I would not say the same for AmEx though- it seems to be rejected almost everywhere.

comment How can I find out what the typical “fast food” is for a particular country?
Wonder how granular it will be, eg in Edinburgh it is not Fish'n'Chips, but Smoked Sausage Supper with Salt'n'Sauce :-)

comment Beach North Italy
Personally I'd go east if you like small, countryside roads and a bit of open land. Heading westwards you get more urban development.

comment What differences are there between First Class and Business Class on BA long-haul?
I never fly economy long haul - the pain just isn't worth it. Business class or first every time! It is definitely worth it.

comment When I have the choice should I choose traveling on an Airbus 340/330 or a Boeing 777?
I always prefer Boeing, but that is because a lot of my friends and family are pilots - I trust their judgement, despite the fact they get the really good seats with the view.

comment How am I supposed to travel with all these hard copy guidebooks?
Totally agree on the books front, but in 36 years travelling I have never lost or broken a device of any kind-preparation and planning is everything.
