comment Can I still get from Heathrow to London on a double-decker bus?
Hmm - I'd take the train myself, as the view is nothing special, so I'd rather get to London more quickly where you can then do some nice touristy things :-)

voted to close, as you have the answer in your question - take the National Express. As an aside: youtube.com/watch?v=TiBI3A2WcrE

comment How can I visit areas with unpaved roads in a rental car?
Pretty certain "Drive it like a rental" is because you take out the damage waiver and then don't care :-)

Pretty confident I will, actually - in terms of understanding the capability of the community to be the first line of defence, as well as a source of conflict, the actual moderation tasks are relatively straightforward to build in to a regular schedule, so as I spend quite a bit of time on my 4k+ sites it makes sense to nominate :-)

comment What are the chances of success and the consequences of sneaking into business class?
I find the odds of getting upgraded by simply being polite are good enough (assuming there are seats free) that I'd recommend this rather than taking the risk.

comment Itinerary to Scotland from London
Going North from Inverness for more lochs is not going to be a good use of time. There are some good mountains up there, but if you want lochs, coming back down past Loch Lomond is much more picturesque from a tourist point of view.

comment What to do if you're being abused by a Low Cost company?
I have made over 500 flights on business in the last 15 years, and with one notable exception, the hassles with low cost airlines made it much cheaper for me to always fly with a proper airline. On a flexible economy ticket. Otherwise at some point you will get screwed, because they know they can charge for ALL changes from the basic ticket. (for info - I had 3 months of twice-weekly EasyJet flights Edinburgh to Heathrow, bought in advance. All were perfect :-)
