comment How fast may you drive on the Autobahn?
I do a fair amount of race training in various track scenarios, and I still take the time to convert my brain back to road driving before heading home from the track. (Even cheap cars can be fast, though - mine is a very cheap car, under £20k and it does over 300kph - so it is definitely accessible to younger drivers)

I have happily driven a large section of the autobahn at over 250km/h and still had people flying past me. It astonishes me that those people can adjust back down accurately again when they reach small roads, as there is a necessary adjustment to lower speed roads, and your brain doesn't naturally do it.

Ah, my bad-am on a train in poor connectivity so didn't follow that link.

Some autobahns have limits on some sections - not just construction zones - and some have variable limits (that come into force during rush hour or bad weather, for example)

comment Can I move to US having telecommuting job?
Umair - that tag is for "a range of border control procedures (referred to as 'immigration' in most countries other than US) and import of goods."

comment Looking for 5-7 day long distance walk
While Orkney has some walks that show off some amazing countryside (I used to take people to see the cliffs of Hoy or Yesnaby, heather covered hills, Viking burial mounds etc.) the mainland of Orkney is pretty small, and between the interesting sites there isn't much to see. Oh, and it rains a lot :-)

comment How to make sure luggage makes it across multiple airlines?
Can you post the stats you have found? I'm not sure damage to luggage is as common as you think. And I would be very surprised if it was related to the airline, as baggage handlers tend to be part of the airport, not the airline (some exceptions eg Terminal 5 at Heathrow) In over 700 flights I personally have had luggage damaged once - by airport baggage handlers - and of my team, who travel about as much as me, two have had damaged luggage and one had lost luggage. So I would recommend the simplest solution, which is to check it all the way to your destination and not worry about it.

comment How do you choose a restaurant when travelling?
Well, it wasn't worth it as a full answer, so having it as another point in yours makes sense :-)

I would also ask one of my contacts who lives locally - this practice has brought me to some restaurants I would never have found otherwise.
