comment How to prevent “Delhi Belly”?
Apparently beer is one of the safest bets to be clean and good to drink.

Okay point for taking along antibiotics, but if you take those you should most definitely take some packs of electrolyte salts which you can mix in water in order to keep hydrated. And very important too is to make sure to take pro-biotic medicine after the misery is over, otherwise your stomach will have a hard time getting back in shape and it's even easier to have "yalla yalla" again (or any other illness in fact).

comment Crime rate in Cuba
@Jonik: After being checked again and again in one single evening it does make you question system behind it. Maybe 'forbid' is a bad word in that sentence, perhaps 'strongly discourage' would be better. The police did try every trick to prevent our Cuban friend to run around with us. But you need to keep in mind as well that all of this was in Havana and in the evening/night. In the smaller towns the laws are not reinforced that strongly.

no, thank you! I wasn't aware that something like Geeks without borders exists! so you did help me a lot. Plus the website i did find had some interesting listings of other organisations. :)

uhh nice! I can totally understand why you support them ;) Would be cool if they would expand the search engine a little though. Thanks for the share!

I tried searching for the Geeks without Borders but could only find a page describing their aims, no projects/jobs section? Could you maybe include a link? Also I am not actually a business app programmer ;)

Thanks Mark! I must have missed those questions. Nevertheless I think my question is relevant as it addresses whether there are other organisation similar to OLPC and specifically IT jobs which enable you to travel around the world. :)
