comment What is the LONGEST Tour operated by travel companies?
Depending on your definition of a "tour," the answer could be an indefinite period of time, since most cruise lines allow for one to live on the ship indefinitely. In fact, it is in most cases cheaper to retire on a cruise ship than to live in a nursing home.

comment How can I travel between US towns without flying
If I recall correctly, Amtrak does not refund your ticket cost in the event of a cancellation; it just gives you a voucher that you can use toward a future trip.

comment Amtrak on-time statistics for arbitrary stations?
Anecdotally, I can say that Amtrak trains in the Northeast US (especially the routes between Washington D.C. and Boston) are in general much more punctual than elsewhere in the country because of their reliance by commuters.

comment What are the main differences in traffic regulations between the US/Europe?
Like many other traffic laws, payment for speeding tickets also varies by state. For example, at least up until a few years ago, it was legal to pay the officer in cash for minor speeding offenses in Montana. The officer would even follow you to a nearby ATM if you needed cash. A friend of mine who used to live in Montana also confirmed this. I am not sure if it is still the case, though.

comment Websites to buy complex air tickets
Note that there are usually restrictions on round-the-world tickets, e.g., there is usually a limit to the number of stops you can make on each continent.

comment Is there another destination like Thailand?
I've never been, so I cannot comment firsthand, but English is an official language of the Philippines, so I imagine a tourist would be fine at least in the larger cities.
