comment How can I do a “broad” search for flights?
+/- days or at least nearby locations is the whole point of my question, so I have to downvote this. The prices do seem very slightly better, though with currency conversion not so much.

What about Google Video, wasn't that their own creation? Anyways, I'll be sure to check this out :P

comment What's the cheapest way to call China from the US with an AT&T cell phone?
@Ankur I've done some research, and it appears that Google Voice isn't blocked. That means an account set up in the US can be accessed from China. As I noted you can't use a physical phone to call via GVoice in China.

comment a webservice for finding the flights by country
Not sure it's a 100% match, but I think good answers to this would likely be answers to mine as well.

Too broad :P I'm sure it would be useful for smaller countries though.

Hmm, just discovered the option to lump +/- 3 days and other dates into one search. Awesome. This and ITA seem to be equally good. For my next trip I'll attempt to plan with both and see what's more helpful.

Not bad. Seems to have multi-airline combinations for cheaper than Kayak, but you can't purchase directly so I'm assuming that it's not counting some fees. This and Kayak seem to be equally good. For my next trip I'll attempt to plan with both and see what's more helpful.

Being able to search only airports in a particular city isn't quite broad enough for me. Especially since in the case of Toronto there are very few flights, and even fewer cheap flights, out of the smaller airport.

@hippietrail Any good site will be intermational, and my example involved Canada to the US. I had problems with Amadeus below not checking all sites/airlines (even the ones it said it would) but Kayak worked properly, fortunately.

Hmm, Kayak seems to work much better, oddly enough! It's also very fast, and while it doesn't show +/- 3 days lumped into one search the dropdown is neat. (The remembered prices from previous searches in the drop down are incorrect though ... hmm.) So not perfect, but very good! +1, I'll hold on acceptance to see if there are any other answers.

comment What are the main differences in traffic regulations between the US/Europe?
Are you sure about your second paragraph? In Canada you don't have to stop at an intersection unless you have either a stop light or a stop sign, and I haven't observed anything different in my trips to the US or when I lived in Chicago. Wikipedia seems to agree; it says both Europe and the US prioritize traffic from the right at uncontrolled intersections, but mentions nothing about stopping by default. Same as Canada.

I have this question as well. Rail service has been suspended, apparently. (So secondary question: Is it even feasible to stop in Greece while travelling through Europe?)

comment LAX to Anaheim - how much slower is the Super Shuttle than a cab?
@Kate Split flights are occasionally cheaper from YYZ, it depends on the date and a number of other factors. I would check, just in case.

comment Is there a definitive reference guide to cell phone standards by country?
AT&T should help you unlock your phone if you explain that you're going to another country temporarily. They wouldn't be as helpful if you wanted to switch to T-Mobile, for example :P
