The cheapest and quickest way to get from Cuba to India Charter flights from Toronto or Montreal in Canada for example are quite cheap, +-250$ one-way, and there are many flights from those cities to India. |

Are there any cheap ways to get from Jamaica to Cuba? Any ship that docks in a Cuban bay will be forbidden to dock in any bay of US territory. Maybe this is why it is not easy to get to/from Cuba by ship. |

Vegetarian dishes in Cuba The main reason for vegetarians to have a bad time in Cuba is not for lack of vegetables, since vegetables are in general cheaper than meat. The main reason is the Cuban culture, where vegetarianism is seen as a bad word. |

Vegetarian dishes in Cuba @hippietrail The plate is actually called "Moors and Christians" ("Moros y cristianos" in Spanish) and it is usually prepared with pork-based products such as bacon and sausages. |

Can I walk around in Cuba with a copy of my passport instead of the passport itself? @jwenting I guess Cuba is not like other communist countries then, since I know for a fact that you can keep your passport. |

What do Cuban power plugs look like? Great answer!. By the way, the 110V thing is just theoretical, I never got more than 100V in my former appartment :) |

Are there countries other than the Netherlands that support hitchhiking? About hitching in Cuba, only cars from state-owned companies are required to pick up hitchers, and some times the company charges a (ridiculously small) fee. Private cars, taxis, cars from the army or from high-rank government officials, are all exempt from this requirement. By the way, inside Havana there are also "azules" (blue), with the same function as "amarillos", just dressed with a different color. |

How do I get a tourist visa for Cuba? An ATM is available at the airport but these facilities are not as reliable in Cuba as in other places. Interesting statement, any experience you can share about this?. AFAIK the only problem with ATMs in Cuba is that they cannot process any card issued in US, other than that they should be ok. |

Is it cheaper to get to Cuba from Miami or Cancún? @Ivan boat trips to Cuba are in general forbidden by the US government, see a few comments about this here. |

Crime rate in Cuba About the topic in question,it is not written in black and white anywhere that Cubans cannot walk around with foreigners, but there are many "flexible" laws that can be applied on those cases and it is up to police officers to do so or not. For example, someone who have not been working for 3 months or more, can be put in jail up to 3 years as "pre-delictive" security measure. This is one of the most controversial laws in Cuba, and it is frequently applied to Cubans "hustling" turists, and even more frequent in cases of prostitution. |

Crime rate in Cuba @Jonik You really have a problem with the way you express your opinions. Do you really need to belittle Pitt's point of view with phrases like "This is a bit muddy..." and such? Remove that part from your sentence and you will see that your point is still there, except that it will not be offensive. |
