Are there places where it isn't legal to take a taxi that isn't in the front of a line? In reality London taxis often refuse trips. But less so at ranks with a queue. |

Fastest way to get from Heathrow Airport to Knightsbridge London? I suspect that a pre-booked motorbike taxi would be slightly faster (and more expensive) in most traffic conditions. But obviously not public transport. |

Problems with certain times occuring twice (or not at all) in night of daylight saving time to standard time "In most of Europe, when the clocks are set from daylight saving time to standard time, at 3 am the clocks are set back to 2 am" - actually "The [EU] shifts all at once, at 01:00 UTC [i.e. GMT]". This could be 01:00, 02:00 or 03:00 local time. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time |

LAX to Anaheim - how much slower is the Super Shuttle than a cab? Orbiting LAX in a SuperShuttle until we'd gained enough passengers to escape is one of the most frustrating starts to a trip I have yet encountered. I guess the reverse trip isn't as bad, but I got a cab (not as far as Anaheim, though) |

For fear of flying is drinking alcohol a healthier option than pills? "nine hour flight from Los Angeles to Vienna" - surely it's more like 14 hours! |

If you go to the pool and find all the sunbeds have towels on and you have nowhere to sit, what do you do? I have actually seen this done the night before at an almost deserted hotel. Also, in the UK at least, there is a very established joke that Germans do this. |
