comment How many regions of India can you realistically visit in 1 month without rushing?
Remember, some travellers think 'rushing' is spending 1 month in a city, let alone country. Also please look at the help center, as asking subjective questions like 'which regions are best' is usually frowned upon. Cheers!

comment Why don't they give you a sweet on take-off anymore?
@AdityaSomani it never happened, it was just threatened :)

comment Can I take camping food in hand luggage?
From where to where? What type of food? For example, New Zealand will NOT let you bring in fruits from overseas, but will allow most processed foods.

comment How easy is it to find a temporary job in Brisbane as a foreign university student?
It's still more that it's way broad, 'how easy is it' is going to be subjective... :(

comment Do I need to apply for a UK transit visa when I have a visitor visa?
Please provide a link or evidence when you state a law or rule - if at all possible, as it helps give confidence for the OP that your answer is factual and based on a rule somewhere.

comment If a hotel staff asks me for buffet food, can there be consequences if I bring him food?
Sigh. Yes, I did read. I didn't jump to conclusions. Yes you used the phrase 'if in doubt, pay' but it's buried within sentences like 'nothing can go wrong from your side' which from other forums is just plain untrue. I've not voted yet, but currently I disagree with this line of answering greatly, sorry. 'Be proud of yourself' for stealing from the restaurant? Nope.

A quick search of other forums including seeing people be arrested for doing this - it's theft.

The point of a buffet is that the food there is yours to EAT your full, not to take for others. The restaurant makes money based on a calculation of how much the average person eats. If people start taking extras for homeless, beggers, towel boys or even left overs, the restaurant will suffer.

comment Riding on a narrowboat in London
An hour or two won't get you far - you could explore some of the canals, at best. They tend to go very slowly. Would a tour be ok?

That is a nifty workaround...

comment What happens if I check in to a flight online, but then miss the flight?
It'll depend on the airline, and will be in your terms of sale and carriage agreements.

So, so awesome. But I can't vote it up, sorry

comment Why is the British passport the most valuable despite colonization?
This question appears to be off-topic because it is about politics

comment Crater Lake Oregon - can you sleep in your car at night?
In summer? Even if it gets cold, I have a great sleeping bag and clothes I can put on top of me. If it's too warm I could crack a window...

comment What is the difference between “Country of Issue” and “Country of Citizenship” of a passport?
@CGCampbell is right, it's on the posters to provide sources for their statements, not on any one else to disprove them.

Considered that but I think we can likely get an answer here too. There'll be follow-up questions depending on the answer as well :)

Where is she flying to? Which British Airline? Or do you mean British Airways? Did she book through them or a travel agent - who is asking for the showing of $1k?

@Karlson no, I'm fairly sure he's just asking if this is essential (show the money) to get a boarding pass...
