comment Do I need ESTA to go from Puerto Rico to Norway on a direct flight?
What citizenship? And do you mean the ESTA 'visa-waiver' from the US? Where is the boat coming from?

comment Why is SCL-AKL slower than SYD-SCL?
Basically, yes. The air is dragged with the earth, My answer here has a quote describing it better than I can :)

Also see Does flying east to west generally take longer than west to east in America?

Argh, super powers in air-travel. I think it's a dupe in that the answer is the same - the drag of the spin of the earth, instead of flying with the drag, you're flying against it. If you don't think it's a dupe, feel free to vote to reopen.

comment Do I need a transit visa going through the US?
Do you have a link or source to back this up? It's been auto-flagged as a low quality answer for basically being just a dozen or so words :/

comment Earning miles using hidden ticketing?
Generally the staff ensure everyone has boarded the flight. If not, they chuck out the luggage checked (if any) and you'll be recorded as not having taken the flight.

comment Travel options from London to Edinburgh
@Jim unless things have changed, it was the Caledonian Sleeper. Which then broke down in Manchester, crawled to Glasgow, and I had to get a local to Edinburgh anyway :/

@DavidRicherby thinking back, it was the Caledonian sleeper from Euston that I took, which goes via Manchester and Glasgow.

comment Going to France and Italy - what payment forms are preferred?
@user2023861 it's an annoying 'feature' of the site, there's a flag for 'should be a ciarifaction' - eg you were asking him questions IN your answer, which I chose - these should be comments and clarified BEFORE an answer. However, the site then enters in default text of 'this does not provide an answer', which is not what I meant at all :/

Fastest? Plane. But the train is the next best option from Euston to Waverley. That was when I was there 5 years ago, so not putting as answer, others can confirm.

comment Is it possible to enter the USA from Canada without having a return flight from USA, only from Canada?
@Calchas it is IF you recently entered the US by air (previous 90 days), exited and re-entered. I've done this several times. If outside the 90 days, then you need to get a land border visa.

@Tai yes. I'm so sure of this that I'm doing it myself in 2 weeks, bussing from LA to Mexico, then flying to Cuba.

It's like any flight, they want proof you're either leaving the destination country (Mexico) or have a visa to live there. Same as you need to prove you'll be leaving the US.

comment Do Mongolians still prefer receiving hard copy photos?
Voting as subjective - not every Mongolian person is the same, and some might not prefer it (they may even (gasp) use Facebook)
