comment Is it safe for a Muslim to visit Israel nowadays?
@lechlukasz indeed, as Albert said, everyone he's asked has given him a different opinion, showing quite well that it's subjective.

@lechlukasz How would you answer it objectively? A lot of people said Egypt was unsafe during the riots etc, but tour companies still ran and had zero problems. In fact I had friends praising how welcome the locals made them feel, and that they felt safer than in London. Even safety is subjective. Tourists often feel safe going to Soweto in South Africa, but almost none of the South Africans would go there out of fear for their safety - highest crime rate area in the country!

This is not an question that can be objectively answered. You got different answers every time because it's subjective. I for example would be happy to go there, while my best friend wouldn't. If you can clarify an objective means for this, then please, do flag it to be reopened, but as it stands currently it's a very subjective question and will be closed.

comment What is the best way (price wise) to travel from Japan to Mexico and Venezuela, then come back?
Yeah if it was simple to find the cheapest flights, I guess we wouldn't have travel agents :/ I'm almost tempted to join a travel agency for a few months just to learn all the routing codes, haha

Generally during the week is both cheaper to travel on AND cheaper to book your ticket on. Yes they use different 'criteria' for flights, and that's why an entire forum (flyertalk.com) exists about finding the 'cheap' ones. A flight from NZ to Aus costs me less if I book it on Air NZ's NZ site instead of their Canadian site. This is why I like flightfox.com so much - many of their experts know these tricks, and do that hard work for you. Also read reddit's guide to travel hacking for some great 'hacks'.

comment Suggestions for an itinerary from Atlanta to London (Canada)
Hi. Could you have a look at the faq - we do ask that questions not relate to an overly broad area, and ask not to poll (it's a Q/A site, not a forum), and not ask for 'the best thing to do' (although you've been pretty specific there, which helps). At present it's in danger of being closed. Would you perhaps be able to reword it to more closely fit the Stackexchange format for questions? Many thanks.

For more information, see the faq. I'm about to update it to make it a bit more clear for the future.

To clarify as others have asked - @AnkurBanerjee closed it because it was overly vague, broad and a polling question. There are soo many possible routes between Paris and Switzerland, so many dozens of cities, sites and more that it becomes polling. This is not a forum site, it's a Q&A site, where we try and find the single best answer to a question, not look for potentially dozens of different answers. It could be reworded and reflagged for opening if desired.

What time of year? Where are you travelling from in Japan? Where in those countries are you wanting to go to?

comment Can I go ski in Innsbruck at the end of November, beginning of December?
Not quite. I'm saying the season is unpredictable, but usually starts mid-late November. However, from my experience working on a ski resort in Colorado, that doesn't mean all the runs will be open - it all depends on the snow. That's why I linked to the weather and snow reports - it's worth watching/reading them. The latest snow reports are forecasting 4-17cm of snow this weekend, so that's a good sign at least! But nothing's guaranteed, such is the nature of outdoor activities.
