About

London Heathrow Airport (IATA: LHR, ICAO: EGLL) is located in the Borough of Hillingdon in West London, England. It is the busiest airport in the United Kingdom and Europe, and one of the busiest airports in the World.

Heathrow has five passenger terminals, numbered 1 through 5. It is the main hub of British Airways (primarily Terminal 5, some Terminals 1 and 3) and Virgin Atlantic Airways (primarily Terminal 3). From June through October 2014, many other airlines serving the airport will be moving terminals as Terminal 1 is vacated for renovation and Terminal 2 is re-opened for operations.

Heathrow has numerous rail and coach/bus connections. Railways include Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect services to Paddington and Piccadilly line service on the London Underground; National Express and Oxford intercity services, RailAir, and local buses routes are available as well. By road, the airport is accessible via the M4 motorway or A4 road (Terminals 1–3), the M25 motorway (Terminals 4 and 5), and the A30 road (Terminal 4). Bicycle parking is available in car parks 1/1A at Terminal 4, and to the north and south of the Interchange Plaza at Terminal 5.
