Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) is located in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, about 120 km from both Frankfurt am Main and Luxembourg , and 180 km from Cologne. It is known as a major hub for Ryanair.

During the Cold War Frankfurt-Hahn Airport was a frontline NATO facility known as Hahn Air Base. On 30 September 1993, most of Hahn Air Base was turned over to civil German authorities.

Nowadays, Hahn is mainly served by so-called and some flights. The airport also has quite an important cargo activity.
