Geneva (Genève in French, Genf in German) is the second largest city in Switzerland and situated in the western part of the country, on the shores of the Lake Léman and on the border with France. Geneva lies in the canton of Vaud. The official language in Geneva is French. Geneva hosts a couple of international institutions, among which the United Nations, the Red Cross and the World Trade Organisation.
