The Alps are a mountain range in western Europe. From west to easy, they stretch from the French Riviera over france, monaco and italy (most of whose land border lies within the mountain range), through switzerland and liechtenstein to austria, with tendrils in germany and slovenia.
The Alps have given their name to other mountain ranges throughout the world.
