I'm looking for an accommodation around UBC in Vancouver in the second week of August. It should be around 50-60 CAD per night. Any local recommendations would really help me. I need nothing fancy, but a clean and quiet bed ;)

Did you look to see if UBC rent out any of their student rooms over the summer? I know a lot of Universities do cheap b&b type accommodation during the vacations, may be worth seeing if UBC are one of them – Gagravarr Jun 30 '12 at 23:43
I had a look at them, but the problem is that one part is fully booked, and the other part is only for people attending conferences there. – RoflcoptrException Jul 3 '12 at 19:53
What about AirBnB? You could probably beat that price. Also there are some hostels downtown with private rooms, if that suits. – Mark Mayo Jul 3 '12 at 20:34
