Me and my fiancée are travelling from Minneapolis on June 9. June 18 we are departing from New York, JFK. What should we do/see in between?

Suggestions may very well include:

  • A nice train itinerary with some stop-overs between these cities
  • Perhaps a beautiful, sunny and romantic east coast destination
  • Cultural events etc. taking place around this time

Welcome to travel.SE Daniel. I hate to rain on your parade given this is your first question but: 1. European style travel e.g. by train to practically every little place in the US may not be possible such is the case in Minneapolis. No passenger train service. 2. What is your idea of romance? Some want a presidential suite in Waldorf-Astoria others tent on the beach. 3. Let's pick destinations first. – Karlson Apr 30 '12 at 14:35
@Daniel - great question, and we'd love to answer it, but as per our faq, we try to ask questions that can be answered objectively, and aren't too broad. A sunny and romantic east coast spot could be literally hundreds of towns. What type of cultural - do you mean native american things, or sports events, or dance, or theatre? If you please edit the question to say what you're after, and flag it to be reopened, we'd gladly answer it, but as it stands it's too broad, and so I'm temporarily closing it off until it's been edited.
