I'll be passing through Uzbekistan shortly, and will need another Kazakhstan tourist visa before I head back there. What locations can I get this at, and any idea how long it will take to achieve?

possible duplicate of Turkmenistan visa in Uzbekistan? – Sathya Jun 22 '11 at 6:35
I don't see how it's a duplicate - Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are two different countries. – victoriah Jun 22 '11 at 13:48
I agree. It is now advisable to combine the two either. – Ginamin Jun 23 '11 at 2:22
@Sathya - seriously? They're two very different countries and each has their own process for visas, definitely separate questions. – Mark Mayo Jun 23 '11 at 3:06
sorry my bad. Seems like I read only the last 3 words, neglecting the first – Sathya Jun 23 '11 at 3:49

According this information,

You can apply for the Kazakhstan visa outside of Kazakhstan where Kazakhstan Embassy or Consulate exist

In Uzbekistan it is situated in:

70015 Toshkent shahar
Chehov 23 Str.
Phone: 99871-139-09-86, 152-16-54
Fax: 99871-152-16-50

As for how long it will be:

Visas are issued within 7 calendar days from the day of presenting all documents

@Mark Mayo My bad. Error copy paste. Updated the answer. – VMAtm Jul 13 '11 at 6:58
Excellent. Am in Tajikistan now and may not go back through Toshkent anymore, but stranger things have happened. Regardless, useful question and answer, so will accept. – Mark Mayo Jul 13 '11 at 7:01
@Mark Mayo By the link I've provided you can find the Kazakhstan Tajikistan-Embassy in Dushanbe, but you can ask another question. :) – VMAtm Jul 13 '11 at 7:04

The best place to check would be the ministry of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan, they have all the information you need.
