I am going on a long distance bike tour, around the world hopefully. I am a little concerned about areas that I should definitely not visit. I have heard that its possible to check the FCO website for information but I have also heard that it is often over hyped.

I heard about a girl (20-ish) who cycled from The Netherlands to China all alone. She reportedly experienced no dangers. I don't post this as an answer because it's all rumours only... – gerrit Jan 27 at 15:32

I think this question is very hard to answer in its current form. "Unsafe" can mean many things and depends on many factors. I suggest you ask more specific questions, I suspect the question will be closed (and perhaps downvoted) in its current form. – gerrit Jan 27 at 15:34

Which countries are you visiting? There are unsafe parts in most countries in the world. Currently it's quite a broad question, and as per your previous questions, we've asked you to form the question in a manner where it can be definitively answered. In its current format, unless someone writes a book, that's unlikely to be possible. – Mark Mayo Jan 27 at 20:57
