I'm driving my friend to Washington National Airport tomorrow morning from the Langley Park area (Silver Spring) in MD. I can drop off my friend any time in the early morning, but I need to be back in the Langley Park area by 7:30am (i.e., I'm doing a round trip). Which way is best to drive? As it is an early morning drive, should I just drive south through DC or will the traffic be bad? Or should I take the Capitol Beltway to George Washington Memorial Parkway and get to the airport that way?
